My way of making a sambal tumis, since the cili price here is quite expensive.. plus cili kering that is sold in the asian shop is waaaaayyy too pedas! but, I'm a sambal lover, cannot go a week without sambal, so I had to figure out a way.. but actually this was originally K.azi's idea of making a sambal using cili flakes from Turki shop and tomato paste. But I improvised it, instead of using tomato paste, I used the real tomatoes. And it turned out better and tastier and also healthier.. heheh
These are all the ingredients needed.. that in the bottle is the cili flakes, purchased from Turki shop.
1st of all and the usual process of sambal making is of course blending both onions and garlic. sampai hancur camtu..
Then, masukkan dlm minyak yg panas!
Haaaiiippp! Pencurik tomato nih hehe.. she loves raw tomatoes.. ok, time to blend the tomatoes, cut them to cubes..
Haaaa.. camtu and blend!
Yeaaaaaahhhhh!
Bile bawang dah garing and wangi gitu, add je blended tomatoes tadi.. cam kat bawah nih..
Comel gitu ;)
Then, kacau2 kan die and masak la sampai naik minyak!
haaa nampak tuh, naik minyak camtu, baru add cili flakes.. I used only 2 teaspoon full of cili flakes, ni pun dah pedas tau! cili dioang ni mmg pedas!
Mix thoroughly... and allow to cook until garing skit lagi..
Then, add the chicken, klu nak goreng dulu chicken pun bole, lagi sedap kan.. since i used chicken breast, frying was not necessary.. plus I was in a hurry..
Allow it to cook for a wyle before adding water.. then cam biase campur la garam and gula sesedap rase.. bole juga di tambah serai yg di ketuk and a lil bit of coconut milk (ikut sesuka hati anda!).. rase cam rendang gitu!
So, this is it!! Final product!
Rasanye sebijik cam sambal yg menggunakan 100% cili..

Btw, cili api/padi sini yg jual kat asian store pon around $5 and tak sampai segenggam pon.

Nad: cuba la sambal camni, jimat pun jimat, sebotol cili flakes baru 2 euro++, dah 3 bulan guna x abis2 tau. hehe
masz: waaaahh masz, ber ai ai ngn aku ye.. ape pun ko bole jugak try wat sambal camni, cili flakes ade gak jual kat m'sia kan.. aku x penah beli pun ms dok m'sia dulu..
izu: yes izu, i'm sure cili flakes ade bnyk jual kat london.. in fact cili kering pun ade kot.. tp x tau la mahal ke x.. tp guna cili flakes ni senang keje, x payah nak potong cili and rendam air panas :)
