Ape ape aje...

Ok, even though I was ill last Saturday, I was still able to make it to a nearby Restaurant for lunch.. it was Hubby's idea to have our lunch there, I forgot the name of the Restaurant... well, the usual me... :)

Don't let your mouth water for seeing this pic orait, count my word for that, it doesn't taste as nice as it seems.. mmmm..
infact, I still have some left over of it... hahaha.. nobody wants it, nak buang sayang la pulak.. huhu
The thing is, hubby craved for KFC finger licking good chicken, but the nearest KFC here is not within walking distance. We have to take a bus, and the bus fare is about 3.60euro per person (pegi balik), and I'm the only one requires a ticket, hubby and Afeef have their own as they travel everyday and Fatini and Aleena require no ticket of course. And of course 3.60euro is a lot, we can get a few cartons of milk with that amount of money.. and I understand, he's trying to save some money this month for he's going to take us for an awesome trip this coming wekend, insyaAllah..

However, after he had a few bites of the 'supposedly KFC substitute', frustratingly he said,
"The taste is not even close to KFC..."
oowwhhh... poor hubby... I felt bad for him..
We should just go to KFC kan...
Nevertheless, at least Afeef enjoyed it hehe... :)

On the way home, we saw a Funfair pulak in conjunction with this Fasching week, so Afeef begged to let him have this ride. And guess what? The fare for this ride is 1.80euro for each children, so for both Fatini and Afeef, hubby had to pay 3.60euro!! The exact same amount as the bus fare!
The thing is, I'm sure hubby would definitely pay for the bus fare if it's either me or the kids who was craving for KFC chicken. I know he would, not even reluctantly. This is sooo like him, always hold back what he wants so he culd spend the money on other things that are more beneficial..
Well, is this 'ride' more beneficial than the bus fare?
I guess yeah...
Seeing those happy faces, it's really worth it :)
I shall say, the story is actually bout 'Pengorbanan seorang bapa' la, hehe..
Sweet papa... :)

Mom's Soup...

Feel like I haven't been updating this blog for so long.. I'd been ill last wekend, had a fever and all activities planned had to be cancelled.. too bad.. but Alhamdulillah, I've fully recovered.. Nevertheless, being sick never stopped me from cooking.. heheh..
I was craving for mom's soup for soooo long, plus demam pulak, lagi la teringat sup mak... after a friend here posted an entry bout her special soup that looks so tempting, Hajar's blog, I just knew that I had to figure out a way to try and make mom's soup myself. Before this, I used 'rempah soup' la, 'sup bunjut ' la, but they'd never turned out the same as mom's soup.
My mom used to prepare all the 'rempah tumis' herself, she would use 'lesung batu' to crush everything together like onions, garlics, ginger and black pepper. Unfortunately, I don't have lesung batu...
So what I did was, I used blender instead of 'lesung batu'.. How come I've never thought of this before??? heheh silly me..
The soup turned out tastier than the one I used to make using 'sup bunjut' and 'rempah sup', but still, it was not exactly like mom's soup... huhu.. agaknya, tu lah rahsia lesung batu hehe..

Dah la serba kekurangan, x de daun sup, x de daun bawang... mmm..
Next try, Mom's laksa pulak... a parcel from mom had safely arrived last week, consisting of 'ikan bilis', 'asam keping' (for laksa), baby carrier bag, and tudung baru lagi hehehe.. thank you so much mak, terharu sangat2... you are the best mom in the world.. :)

Do YoU ReALizE....??

As the earth is rotating, the clock is ticking, time flies by... I've just realized something.. all because I'm now here, and this is my first time experiencing the changes of the four seasons; shorter day time period during Winter and longer daytime period during Summer, from icy cold to a burning hot! As well as the continuous changes of the prayer times.
All these due to the slight changes of the earth's rotation axis. Only a slight changes, could cause a tremendous change on earth.
The clock ticks in accordance with earth's rotation, do you realize that every single second that ticks by, there are always people worshipping Allah SWT? Performing the 'solat'? Every single seconds, if you think of it carefully...
For an instance, Zuhr time in our town, Kaiserslautern is at 12.41pm. Zuhr time for a nearby city, Mannheim is at 12.38pm, Heidelberg another nearby city, it's Zuhr time is at 12.37pm and Ludwigshafen is at 12.36pm! The time difference is only seconds away, and that we haven't yet considered the other side of the world where people are praying for Maghrib and Isya continuously.. and if every Muslims on earth perform prayers on time, then there'll be a continuous praises for Allah SWT, and this has been going on for million and million years ago!! Subhanallah... I couldn't express how I feel whenever I think about it in words! Isn't this something for us to ponder upon?
