Mommy moment @ Gartenschau

Once again, cerita yg dah basi hehe... this visit to Gartenschau was about 2 weeks ago, it's a very nice place , very suitable for children and also adult for lepaking, chit chatting, etc etc..

We knew bout this place long ago, I think bout last winter we discovered it, but it was closed during winter and so we had to wait..

Now it's open again, and look at the view from afar..

That's me and Anna :)

This is Eliz, Anna's daughter.. Anna has three children too, just like me hehe.. but look at her, she's way slimmer than me hehe..

From left : Anna, Charlotte, me and Naliah. All are working mother except Anna and me. Naliah is a midwife and she only takes care of home birth, so she has lots of free time, so they often spend their time at Gartenschau ni..

in short, this is their feveret place to lepak la haha.. and they had asked me to join them again next time.. so sweet of them.. :)

I'm impressed by their ability to speak in many languages, for example, Naliah, she can speak good French, Deutsch and English. Anna can also speak good french and Deutsch, but her English is not so good. But it's enough for us to communicate. And Charlotte speaks really good English and Deutsch of course. Charlotte had once lived in London for bout two years if i'm not mistaken, and already she could speak so good with the British accent lagi hehe..

Anyway, after hanging out with them, I realized that I have a huge opportunity to practice Deutsch and also English with them. Learning language isn't enough, we need somebody to practice it with, after all, practice makes perfect right?

All these while, I always depend on English, searching for people who's able to speak in English, but now, I think the time has come for me to try Deutsch, try with friends like this, tak la malu sangat kalau silap2 kan, infact diorang pun bole tolong tunjuk ajar ngeh ngeh :)

Anyway, they are great friends, always showing concerns, very helpful, funny, easy going and friendly.. :)

They've added more colors in my life here in Deutschland :)

Fatini @ Dance Class :)

She has been dancing at home, she loves Angelina Ballerina, she loves watching ballet shows, she has been imitating the ballet dance moves, doing split, fantasizing about being on stage dancing like a beatiful ballerina :)

Hahaha that's my girl Fatini..

After observing and realizing this talent in her, we've decided to take her to a dance class.

It's not at all a problem for us here, for such courses are available everywhere and also very cheap.

So, this is her first day!! The dance class is held every Friday at 2.15pm until 3pm.

I had to accompany her last Friday and probably for the rest of the course ngeh ngeh.

See, she's the smallest !

The class is meant for children above 4 years old, and since she's barely 4 years old, they let her try the first class before deciding wether she should continue or not.

At first, she seemed a bit reluctant to do all the moves that the teacher had asked her to do, you can check the video out !

I was almost certain that they won't let her continue, hehe, but towards the end...

Taaadaaaaaaaaaaaa....

Lemang Oven

Salam Lebaran to all, since lots of people had asked me on how to make this lemang, so I'll post the recipe and methods here..

Hopefully it is helpful for those who want to try making lemang on their own...

credits to my beloved mother for the recipe :)

Ingredients:

Glutinous Rice (beras pulut) about 2 cups.

Santan bout 1 cup mixed with a bit of salts.

Daun pisang and Aluminium foil for wrapping purposes.

Methods:

Rendam beras pulut satu malam, then tos kan. Kukus beras pulut yang dah di tos tu sampai beras tu lembut sket. Lebih kurang 1/2 jam kukus kot.

Lepas tu tuangkan santan yg dah di campur garam tadi sikit demi sedikit sambil kacau rata santan tu.

Kadang2 x sampai secawan santan pun, kena agak2 sendiri bila nampak macam santan tu dah cover seluruh beras pulut tadi, and x bole terlalu berair sampai nampak santan bertakung kat bawah mangkuk, nanti jadi lembik.

Sebab tu kena masuk kan sket2 santan tu, and sambil gaul ratakan.

Bila dah siap, cedok letak atas daun pisang and wrap, guna aluminium foil sebagai lapisan kedua and mampatkan pulut tu, gulung la cantik2 utk dapatkan hasil yg memuaskan hati :)

Then bakar la dalam oven pada suhu 180 degree selama lebih kurang 1/2 jam.

Aidilfitri 2011

Berlalu lah sudah Ramadhan... (dengan nada lagu Suasana Hari Raya, nyanyian Anuar & Elina) Sayu rasa hati, Salam Lebaran untuk semua, moga Aidilfitri kali ini lebih bermakna dari yg sebelum2 nya...

Ramadhan and Aidilfitri kali ni sangat bermakna buat saya, walaupun saya sangat jauh dari keluarga, mak, abah and adik beradik yg sangat saya rindui, but they are always close at heart and i'm really thankful for I'm always blessed with wonderful people around me, Mr.hubby, my children and also friends around here that made me feel important and loved.

So, first day of Raya, I prepared lemang, rendang daging, rendang ayam, nasik lemak sambal udang, apam pisang, kek coklat and also bingka daging.. haaaa, banyak tak? macam rajin je ye, kalau kat Malaysia asyik tunggu mak masak je. Now merasa la buat semua sendiri, sronok jugak sebenarnya. So, bile balik Mesia nanti, bole la jadi tukang masak di rumah mak hehe..

Yang paling spesyel, of coz la lemang tu hehe.. thanx to mak tersayang for the recipe.. ramai dah tanye camne wat lemang ni, so I'll post an entry on how to prepare this lemang :)

So ni lah tetamu2 kami. Actually this is Emir's family. Emir ni student kat sini, kawan2 die semua balik Malaysia for Raya, die je x balik, sebab family die datang beraya ngan die kat Deutschland ni. So ni la family Emir.

Mula2 beraya di rumah kak Azie, (telupa ambik gambar di rumah kak Azie), macam2 kak Azie masak, and sedap2, rendang daging, rendang ayam, lontong, nasik tomato, memang marvelous, terasa sungguh suasana Hari Raya, rugi nye telupe ambik gambar.. dah la kami semua berbaju Raya time tu..

Ni pulak cerita sebelum raya, parcel baju Raya sampai dari Malaysia..

Shawl ni hadiah dari kawan baik saya, dari kecik2 lagi, she's Masz, bersempena birhtday :) Thanx sangat2 masz, terharu aku, cantik sangat shawl ni, aku suka sangat !! Dah dua kali aku pakai, nanti aku tunjuk gambar ok :)

Ni pulak baju Raya dari Aunty Tie (my sister), untuk budak2 ni. Cantik sangat, tapi terbesar semuanye.. hehe

X bole la diorang nak pakai sangat, pakai untuk bergambar je la nampak nye :)

x pe la kak ti ye, tahun depan depan bole pakai lagi.

Ni la Fatini bergaya ngan baju Raya nye, tapi bukan die punya, ni Aleena punya hehe.. yg Aleena punye muat2 je utk die, yg die punye sekali ganda besar hehe.. so Fatini sorang je la bole bergaya ngan baju Raya.. ape pun, thanx to Aunty Tie for Barbie bag kecik tu, Fatini suke sangat, siap dah berebut2 ngan Aleena haha.. Rase nye die lebih excited ngan beg kecik tu kot dari baju Raya hehe..

First Day @ School..

As usual, this story is a bit delayed.. Orang dah nak bukak cerita Raya, saya pulak baru nak cerita 'Hari pertama Afeef di sekolah' padahal dah 2 minggu dah ke sekolah, and memang dah basi sgt la cerita ni hehe..

Ape pun, nak jugak wat entry ni sebagai kenang-kenangan terindah hehe

Dats my boy! That thing he has in his hand is a gift from his previous kindergarten meant for his school. This is some sort of a tradition kot, every kid has one. And I personally think, Afeef punya paling comel ler hehehehe!!

Inside his classroom.

It's been two weeks, Every morning at 7.30am, Papa would take him to school and everybody must reach there by 7.55am. School finish at 11.50am everyday, hehe kejap je kan, sronok budak2 kat sini :)

So, my job is to fetch him from school everyday.. The school is only ten minutes away, but since it is located uphill, the journey has become half an hour for me and the two kids. I had to push the stroller up the hill, with only Aleena inside, that's if I'm lucky enough to persuade Fatini to walk, unfortunately, not everyday is my lucky day, she often wanted to stand at the back of the stroller, so I had to push both kids weighing approximately 26kg up the hill, while fasting and breastfeeding huhu.. can you just imagine... many days I just feel like nak 'berbuka puasa'.. huhu

But, it is a really good exercise for me, insyaAllah..

On the way back home is very relaxing, descending the hill took us only 10 minutes walk :)

The funny thing is, almost every time while we were heading home, we would bump into Afeef's classmate, most of them would scream excitedly from afar, from inside a car, from across the road,

"Halloooooo Afeef !!!"

And guess what, every time yg tegur ni, mesti budak perempuan... hehe... the most often is Emilia, the one sitting next to him now.. she is super friendly.. dengan mama ni skali die "Halooo" and "Tchus (bye)"

Nanti bila2 berkesempatan, I'll snap her photo, sanagt comel jugak Emilia ni :)

So, everything went well for the past two weeks, Afeef has got two close friends already, Alhamdulillah, one is Bruno, (I dun have his photo yet) the other one neither me nor Afeef know his name hehe.. Afeef tau dah tapi die lupe pulak.. but last Friday when I pick him up, they were both walking hand in hand.. cute.. Afeef said they play a lot together but Afeef forgot his name.. ape laaa. haha..

Bruno's mom pulak very friendly, already planned to take Afeef to her house, oh rupe2 nye diorang ni memang pesyen nye camtu ye, bila dah anak nye ade kawan baik, mesti nak bawak ke rumah.. hehe.. ape2 je la... asalkan Afeef hepi :)

At least Bruno's mom ni bole cakap English la, jadi la, x la struggle mama ni nak cakap Deutsch yg ntah ape2 nih.. hehe
