Tok Wi Janggut Merah...

" Tok Wi Janggut Merah @ Sheikh Nawawi adalah seorang tokoh ulama' negeri Perak. Bagi menghargai jasanya, sebuah masjid di negeri perak telah dinamakan sebagai Masjid Al-Nawawi sempena nama nya iaitu Tuan Guru SyeikhHaji Nawawi bin Haji Tahir. "

http://www.emocutez.com

That's my late grandfather, and we called him Tok Wan, I've never had the chance to meet him as he'd already passed away when I was born. And.... yes he was one of the 'Ulama' in Perak, a lil bit about him HERE..
I'm not proud at all to reveal this as I am far far far far from being the kind of a person he was...
Ibadah or akhlak wise..
Nevertheless, I'm striving to be just like him... (ye la tu hehehe)

Just had a long chat with my mom thru Sype just now, and mom suddenly brought up a few things bout him which I think, most of us failed to observe..

Mom said.... http://www.emocutez.com

Tok wan never complained a single thing, if the coffee was bitter, he just drank them..
If the coffee was too sweet, he just drank them as well..
If the food was salty or tasteless, he just ate them, no grimace, no complain, no nothing...
He never had any preferences for food, he just ate anything that was served to him..
His Principle was, " Rezeki from Allah SWT " just eat them regardless...
He wore the same few " kain pelikat" over and over again, sew necessary patches himself, until they were wearable again...
He loved to make others happy especially children...
He never talked bad about people nor hurt them..
He never raised his voice to his wives nor complained bout anything..
And when his wives complained bout anything at all, he just kept quiet and nodded..
Mom said, he stood up fearlessly in defending Islam and for what's right.. he feared nothing but Allah SWT..
In short, I would say, he was so close to fully following and practicing Rasulullah's way of life...
As believers and followers of Rasulullah, our choices must be within the boundaries of Deen. Deen is that way of life which Rasulullah lived and demonstrated. It is the way of life that Allah has chosen for us.
Allah declares ;

“And I am pleased with Islam as your Deen (religion/way of life).” (Surah 5; Verse 3)

A Day In The Life Of A Desperate Houswife Hahaha..

New achievement for this new year, yesterday I went to the clinic all by myself, of course the kids were with me, but..... hubby wasn't around for the first time!!!!! http://www.emocutez.com hehehehehehe....
I know I know, it's probably nothing to most of you, but here in Deutschland, and for a desperate Housewife like me, it is really something, heheh..
Well, you know why, language problem.. http://www.emocutez.com

I was always so afraid to converse in Deutsch, so afraid of any mistakes I might make, and so worried, what if I couldn't understand what they were saying...
But now, I have more confident, and also no longer afraid to make mistakes while talking in Deutsch and also used to 'muka tebal' when I didn't understand something ngeh ngeh..
So yesterday, at least, I made it through the receptionist fully in Deutsch, and tried full Deutsch with the Doctor too, but I had to surrender because......

She knows English, http://www.emocutez.com so why bother racking my brain right ??? Trying to find the right words and also straining my ears, trying to understand what the doctor was saying.
Ok, that was the first achievement, http://www.emocutez.com
Second achievement, again, in Deutsch class yesterday, I participated in discussion hehehe, no longer the quiet me.... ngeeeeeeeee http://www.emocutez.com

We were talking about our last Birthday's Celebration, and I know, I made lots of mistakes, but... so what ?? If I can speak fluently already, then why should I bother attending the class rite ???
Thank you Allah for this new confident in me.. may at least, I'll be as good in Deutsch as I am with English.. Amin... (walaupun English pun x bagus mana, ngeh ngeh )
And also, million thanx to friends and family who always give their words of encouragement, may Allah bless you guys.. :)

SwEeT MeMoRiEs in MaLaySia..

Memories back in Malaysia bout 2 months ago...
I know, I know, cerita dah basi....
Just untuk kenang kenangan...
Rasa riiiiiiinduuuuu sangat...

Fly dengan Royal Jordanian.. service tak berapa best tapi makan best hehe..
Best sebab banyak kali makan and sedap :)

Tapi tetap tak dapat lawan Emirates, Emirates tetap yg paling best..
Tapi bersyukur ngan ape yg ada hehe..
Dapat balik Malaysia was like a dream came true :)

Flight was from Deutschland to Amman, then from Amman to Bangkok, and lastly, from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur...
Disebabkan flight delay, dapatla bermalam di Airport Hotel Amman yg x seberapa nih heheh..
Abaikan aksi terlampau Fatini tu ye.. hehe

Infront of Hotel..

Selain tajaan hotel, makan malam juga di taja ngeh ngeh..

Not bad.. :)

First stop, jumpa my beloved mom, rinduuuu saaaangat...
My mom and Fatini, suka aje Fatini ni kat Tok die, smpai skrg dok tanye pasal tok lagi hehe..

For no one's Birthday in particular, hehe... Fatini yg request cake Princess, and Tok yg dah lama tak jumpa Fatini ni bukan saja sanggup beli, tapi carik cake Princess sampai jumpa :D

Then bermula la aktiviti wajib dari dulu lagi, bila ada je Besday sape2, mmg akan bergilir2 la potong cake and berulang2 jugak nyanyi "Happy birthday to you....." hehe..
Not just Birthday boy or girl.. semua akan dapat merasa potong cake :)

Tunggu giliran iye.. hehe

And also for the first time, had the chance to meet my youngest sister's daughter, Nadrah Safiyyah :)
I wasn't there when my sister gave birth to her, and this was my first time seeing her in front of my eyes.. she's so lovely and notty notty too hehehe..

Next stop was my Hubby's hometown in Perak...
That's my mother in law :)
The kids had no problem at all with both Tok and Opah even after they have not seen each other for almost two years...

These are all nephews and niece sebelah hubby..
They had so much fun together..
:)

Fatini and Khairatul, Khairatul is hubby's elder sister's daughter..
She's so sweet :)
Tengokla Gaya gedik Fatini hehehe..

Also had the chance to meet hubby's second mom, also called 'mak angkat', she's very kind and soft spoken.. I was also shocked to know that her husband had passed away, bout the same time as my father...
In the past, whenever I came over their place, her husband always2 remind me of my father.. they looked so much alike...
And they leave this earth bout the same time too....

Rombongan menghantar kami ke airport KLIA.. so the very sad masa ni, sebab nak meninggalkan Malaysia, tapi nasib baik la ada mereka2 ni yg buat lawak x abis2 hehe..
Both are my brothers. Standing next to me is my sister in law Sharifah Hikmah :)
Sharifah Hikmah is my 1st brother's wife, (abang pa) yg kat tengah2 tu. My other brother is the one at the most right (abang mi) and his wife kat bawah ni ngeeee...

This is my sister in law too, Sharifah Aliah... she is very close to me, we've got married bout the same time, she had been there through thick and thin of my life..
We shared many things together, and secrets too hehe..
Amazingly and coincidently, both of my sister in law and bang mi, all three of them have the same birthday, 27th December, hehe tahun je yg lain.. So they can all celebrate together.. sweet kan :)
What a coincident..

While waiting for our last Flight, from Amman to Deutschland, we were 'lepaking' at this nice cafe whilst internetting hehe.. lama jugak, few hours jugak kat sini..
Mak bapak dah dapat internet, 2,3 jam pun no problem kan..
Tapi..... the Kids.... ??

Huhuhuhu.... Kesian... hehehe...

Already missing my family in Malaysia soooooo much...

Those, who are close at HEART... :)

I'm called to write this after reading a nice entry by Izu, a friend since IIUM, and of course a wonderful friend :)

This past few days, I've been in a confused state, bout something, bout myself...
I might have not been a good wife, a good mother, daughter, friend, etc etc.. but I am actually striving to be a good person, to everybody...
Nevertheless, one way or another, all of us for sure have done mistakes in the past, derailed from the right path, regardless to Allah SWT, or to family, friends etc etc..
For us to realized our mistakes and repent immediately, is for me a huge achievement...
Because, for me, once you've realized your mistakes, that means Allah has shown you the right way, that means He hadn't blocked your heart entirely from receiving His blessings and mercy...
And thank Allah whenever you realized all the wrongdoings in life...

Allah will surely forgive us..

So, for this new year, I wanna make a huge improvement in life (harap2 bukan konon2 laaa), wanna treat all those people superbly, wonderfully, and wanna care for them wholeheartedly.. Those are the people close at heart, My husband, my mother, my children (oh my, they light up my life..), my family and all my friends out there, bak kata Izu, "you know who you are.."
Thanx to those who sees me as a wonderful person and the goods in me..
I really2 appreciate it :)

mmm.... someone sent me this message earlier on Facebook, his name is Afeef Ahmed (that's my son's name !! :) )

Salam , how r u ? my name is also Afeef , and i am ALLHamdullilah Muslim , u r great mom , Allah bless u

I wonder if he's the anonymous commenter asking me to write in English?
Whoever you are, thanx very very very very very very much for your message, I really really appreciate it.. Allah bless you too..
This message really make my day

WoNdErFuL NeiGhBoR... :)

Last Saturday, Mike, our neighbor came over again to have breakfast with us. Of course we invited him over, for we hardly had the opportunity to get together, he invited us once to his place, but we had to turn it down for something else came up...
I've talked about Mike before, HERE , he's one of the kindest person I've ever met...
He's still single, searching for a good woman to be his wife, he's a Christian and very religious, he doesn't drink alcohol, he doesn't go to bars or clubbing, he goes to church every wekend and even has his own Church back in State, he's very polite too, honest, kind and I must say he has it all.. I kinda wish and pray for him that he'll meet the right woman soon :)
He told us once, that he only eats when he's hungry, and stop before he's full..
Wow, that's what Rasulullah had taught us !!
Most importantly, unlike most Americans, who often associate Islam and terrorism, Mike is the other way around... He believes Islam is a beautiful religion and he adores those who comply to the teachings of their religion wholeheartedly...

The last time he was here at our place, I forgot to snap any photos, and last Saturday, I did... There, that's Mike...
He's amazing ok, count my word on that, not only because he gave us the fridge, but he offered helps in many ways possible, like he let us use his dryer or bicycle anytime we desired, (but of course we've never used it haha,) and last time he also introduced us to a website where we can get items for free, and he even offered to get the items for us, coz he has a car and of course he can get inside the Base anytime he wants...
And he also offers to help us buy anything expensive using his name, because that way, we don't have to pay for tax.. isn't that fantastic?

The only think we've ever done for him was offering him our garage for him to use and of course for free and he gave us the fridge later, seemed like an exchanged of items or something, but I truly believed, after knowing him, that even if we hadn't offered him the garage, he would still let us use the fridge...
He's just so concern bout everything...

:)

Look, he even brought this for us and he decorated it himself !! And baked the cookies himself too...
Isn't that great !!??
The kids really loved it !!

Aleena adores him too...

And, I must say, he's very very good with children too... Aleena just can't let him out of her sight hehe..

Then, after breakfast with Nasik lemak and kuih bakar, they played wii game together...

Look at how focused he is... :)

Hahaha, sampai berdiri tu !! And look at Aleena, she copies whatever Mike does :)

And later, he took hubby to US Army Base, and of course one of the best experience for him as it's his dream to get in there hahaha...

And my dream to find this:

I've been searching for Corelle here, almost given up hope, but kalau dah rezeki, there's always a way...
And not just I've finally found it, it's very cheap too !!
The price is in US dollar, it is actually cheaper than that after converting it to Euro.

And also had the chance to shopped there... oh man, Heaven ok...
This Capri-Sonne's price in German's Supermarket is normally 2euro ++, but inside the base the price is only 1.25 euro...
Can you believe it ??
And this huge box of Oreo also, waaaaaaayyyyy cheaper than the German's Supermarket..
No wonder most of my American friends prefer to shopped inside the Base..
Almost everything, way cheaper...

And look, Self Raising Flour !! This one is special, sebab tak de jual kat mana2 Supermarket kat Deutschland ni.. hehe..
Don't ask me why, coz I don't know why hehe
Maybe the Germans has their own way of baking, they prefer baking powder :D

And Pringles's price is twice cheaper than the ones sold in German's Supermarket..
Cool huh...
All items sold here are free from tax, that explains the cheap prices :)
And Mike helped a lot in finding the cheapest price possible for every item :)

And found this bread which is as soft as Gardinier bread in Malaysia. Hehe untuk yang dah ada bread maker tu, bole buat roti selembut-lembut nya, maybe x kagum la kot hehe..
But as for me, who have not yet owned a Bread Maker, and hanya mengharapkan roti German yg selalu nya keras, memang seronok sgt la jumpe roti lembut ni hehe..

Ok, I guess that's all the story I have to tell about our wonderful neighbor...
Sometimes I wonder, do we deserve to have all these? These wonderful people around, these wonderful thing, what have we done to deserve all these??
But hubby said,
"God certainly has his plan, and everything that happened has a reason... We might have been treated badly and hurt by some, and treated wonderfully by some others..."
It's life, so just appreciate and cherish what we have and always always do good deeds regardless to who not because we want something else in return, but because, we love to do it and we do it for Allah SWT...

:)
