One Of The Worst Winter in 2o years..

They said so, but is it so? But the sight of the whole tree covered in snow gave me an eerie feeling.. hehe dun know why, I felt goosebumps whenever I look at them.. This was taken several days ago, snow had fallen heavily then, in the morning I was so shocked to find everything was sooo white! Check them out..

Obviously, this Year's winter is worst than the last one.. Last year I didn't see anything like this..

Ok, lets move on to the kids... ok, ni muka first time makan oren hehe.. She eats everything, I must say she has an incredible appetite.. Sometimes, when afeef and fatini were munching on crackers, she would just stare at them admiringly asking for some probably.. but as usual, they just ignored her.. so eventually, after a failed attempt to snatch the crackers, she would settled for the scattered crumbs on the carpet and floor.. she would hold each crumb with the tip of her forefinger and thumb and put it in her mouth.. hehehe cute but pitiful.. hehehe
Ok, mama x biarkan ok, tengok kejap pastu gelak2 sbb comel, and pastu angkat la die, and of course mama vacum carpet pastu.. tp kdg2 x sempat vakum tengok2 dah bersih hehe..

mmmmm... sedap kan oren tuh..

Ok, I must include her photo ok, as she was always busy bodying wenever I tried to do some photo shoot for Aleena. Ini gaya ape pun x tau la...

Yang pasti nya, ini gaya gedik.. hehe

Fatini and Princess..

This has become an everyday ROUTINE... Fatini wuld come to me with a piece of paper and a pencil and asked me to draw a Princess for her.. So, this is wat I'd draw for her every day, the same looking Princess, and it's fine with her as long as it has long hair, long dress, an earing and a necklace. But last weekend, I was busy doing something, so she asked Papa to draw for her instead...

And it ended up like this, hehe... she showed me the drawing with unsatisfied look on her face..
"Fatini suh papa draw kan Pincess, Buruk!" hahaha... jangan marah ye papa..

Afeef when bout Fatini's age, also asked me to draw for him, not a princess of course, but Ultraman. But he never was particular, he didn't mind even if I drew 'orang lidi' as an Ultraman... he wuld be satisfied enough. This shows the level difference of artistry between them..

Afeef's WoRks Of ArT...

Ni beberapa hasil kerja Afeef di kindergarten... This 1st one is a crown, he made this crown on his Birthday with the help of the teacher. This lil girl in the photo is just a model hehehe...

By the way, topi pink kat dlm crown tu aleena punye ok.. dah jadi hak milik fatini.. hari tu beli purple utk aleena, die kate die punye, mama cakap x pe la, trsilap saiz pun, trbeli besar, jadi fatini punye la. then mama kata kat die, nnt mama beli yg pink utk aleena, fatini x bole ambik ye sbb fatini dah ambik yg purple... die kate "ok, fatini x nak pun pink, fatini suke purple jeeee..." so mama pun beli pink pulak, yg saiz kecik mmg saiz utk aleena, die nak jugak yg tuh. rupe2 nye mama tertipu ngan Fatini huhu.. sendat2 pun pakai jugak.. so aleena trpaksa la pakai yg purple tuh.. so aleena yg kecik pakai topi and sarung tangan besar, fatini yg besar pakai topi and sarung tangan yg sendat..

Ini buat masa Halloween rasenye, ade side yg tulis mama jugak!! papa yg ambik gmba ni so ade sket biased di sini..

This is the latest one, gmba ni ambik kat kindergarten Afeef, just gmba org je, but afeef dah bole tulis name sendiri!

Ni maksudnye: Saya Afeef, umur saya 6 tahun!

Kad jemputan utk parents, tp afeef yg wat sendiri decorationnye.. tp of coz lah with the help of the teacher! :)

Polygamy...

Yesterday an American friend of mine asked me bout polygamy, at first I was taken aback by the question coz never before was I confronted with such a frank and direct question regarding Islam. Ooooooohhh, momentarily I was speechless, and then I had to racked my brain for an answer?? It was a simple question,
"Is it true that polygamy is allowed in Islam?"
If I answered "true" without any elaboration, she wuld think Islam was a terrible religion, so i had to be wise! It made me question myself;
"Are we ready enough for this kind of question??"
Her thoughts bout Islam depends so much on my answer..
In that brief moment we had, I managed to tell her that Islam does allow polygamy but to a certain extent and with several restrictions, like a muslim man who engages in polygamy is required to deal justly with his wives, and that Islam discourage polygamy but allow it for everyone's benefit. I told her that Islam did not CREATE polygamy! Actually polygamy was practiced by other religions too since long time ago, what Islam did was to organize it.. There were, and still are, Muslims that misuse what is given to them, in fact there are Muslims who do prohibited things in Islam let alone misuse!! Of course, those that misuse polygamy or any other privilege given to them will be held accountable.
I told her that me and hubby come from a really huge family, and out of this huge number of family members and relatives, only one that i knew of with more than 1 wife. So I said, even though polygamy is allowed in Islam, very few practiced it, usually they were those who knew very little bout Islam.
Personally, as a Muslim, I think we shouldn't question polygamy... after all it is allowed in Islam.. if anything goes wrong, we shouldn't blame Islam but blame Muslim instead. Every prohibited thing in Islam links to one another. If we failed to follow one of them then everything would end up wrong... For instance, Islam prohibit men and woman from mingling with one another without limits, if everyone comply to this rule then how is it possible for polygamy to occur? Ther's no way! The only way for polygamy then is definitely through arranged marriage which is high unlikely to happen without the existing wives consent. Got my point?!

So SoRRy...

On my way to class yesterday, I bumped into an elderly couple with a lil girl bout Fatini's age in between them. Each of the lil girl's hand held in their's protectively.. I was so touched by the sight it brought tears to my eyes... Why was I so emotionally affected??
Coz I was reminded of my mom, and how much she must av missed Fatini.. and how they had spent their time together during that 5 months stay. My mother used to bring Fatini along everywhere she goes, and I recalled they wuld 'lepak' in my mom's favorite restaurant, and Fatini wuld have her favorite 'air pink' which was actually 'sirap bandung', and then my mom wuld buy her a balloon.. And then when they've reached home, Fatini wuld excitedly show me the balloon my mom had bought for her.. I had predicted from that moment, the hard time they had to endure upon separation.. I didn't know for sure how my mom handled it coz mom always seemed so strong in handling anything, but it wasn't easy for Fatini.
After Aleena was born, they'd become more attached with each other coz I barely had enough time for Fatini. I felt guilty to my mom, coz I had to be here, taking with me the lil girl she'd built the bond with..
